Jason Wu x Lancôme
Back for another collab with the iconic brand, Jason Wu’s second collection with Lancôme errs on the romantic side with floral patterned packaging and rose and nude lipsticks to boot.
Mixing in high-shimmer metallics like gold and copper, along with more vivid hues like violet and dark green, the 5-shadow palettes come handpicked with complimenting shades to create runway-esque smoky eyes. But even if you’re not the metallic smoky eye type, you can always opt for one of the Artliners in the collection (in a bolder shade like Atlantic Blue) to update your look for summer.
Meant for a Diane Kruger type of girl (a.k.a. the type of girl who can get away with leather pants and a dainty floral-print clutch), Jason Wu’s collection is a take on the classic Lancôme woman- effortlessly feminine but with a slight bout of unruliness.
Lancôme always reminds me of that refined type of woman- a girl with a Parisian vibe. So it’s naturally fitting for Jason Wu- who’s known for creating overtly feminine pieces (think full skirts and Michelle Obama’s white inauguration dress)- to pair up with the brand. With this limited edition, pre-fall collaboration with Lancôme (hitting counters soon!), Wu’s signature romantic vibe definitely remains in tact.
Here are my top picks from the collection:
