Once spring hits, the last thing anyone wants on their skin is a fragrance that’s overpowering and heavy. I tend to gravitate toward cleaner, lighter fragrances that have slightly floral notes when the weather gets warmer. For years, I always thought “floral” meant overly sweet, flower-petal type- until I discovered that “floral” fragrances can also translate into clean, fresh and slightly feminine. These are some of the fragrances I’ve been reaching for during the recent spring months:
Calvin Klein Euphoria Blossom- I was so surprised I loved this one since I wasn’t the biggest fan of the original Euphoria. This fragrance has notes of orchid blossom paired with citrus and white amber. It’s been around since 2006 and I just discovered it a few years ago and have been reaching for it ever since- it’s fresh and feminine without being too heavy so it’s great for everyday. The dry-down of this scent is amazing too- it lingers on the skin throughout the day. For those of you who like a slightly sweeter scent, the newest take on the original- called Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria might be more to your liking.
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre- This fragrance is floral and feminine but has a clean dry-down. It’s an Eau de Toilette, so it’s a lot lighter than most Chanel fragrances. The one pictured is actually a hair mist (it’s mean to be spritzed it your hair as a light perfume!), which I actually prefer for just a subtle hint of fragrance. Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche is also a great one if you like fresher, more citrusy and clean scents.
Demeter Clean Skin- Such a great one for everyday! It’s a no fuss fragrance- very subtle yet uplifting. I love clean scents- and this one gives off a fresh-out-of-the-shower scent that’s so light and refreshing.
