French Nail Variation

The inspiration-  one part edgy graphic nails,  one part traditional french mani. Here’s how I got this look:

1. OPI Nail Lacquer in Alpine Snow– Apply this over the areas where the natural white tips of your nails are. I dipped a fine-tipped eyeliner brush or paintbrush into this polish and applied two coats directly on top of a base coat.

2.Essence Nude Glam Collection in Cotton Candy– After doing the white tips, I then did a sheer coat of this Essence polish all over the nail to give it a slight nude pink tint (it also fills in any ridges from the white polish).

3.Sally Hansen Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black- This polish is a nicely pigmented black lacquer that dries to a glossy finish. I used the same fine-tipped eyeliner brush and dipped it in some nail polish remover to remove any white polish residue before using it with this black shade. I started off with a small triangle in the middle of the nail, then did a thin line connecting it to the base of the nail.

4. Seche Vite Topcoat- This topcoat is a must-have for any manicure! Closest thing to a DIY shellac. Did one coat of this to seal everything in place and give a glossy finish.
