Pot Rouge

I’ve been looking for a blush that gives a natural, rosy-flushed look that makes you look like you have a post-workout healthy glow (or the same flush that you get when you’ve just come from being outside).  I’ve definitely found it with this product-Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in “Blushed Rose” is now a staple in my makeup bag!

I have combination skin and my cheeks seem to feel a bit drier during the winter. So the perfect quick fix is a cream blush- since my skin isn’t as oily as it usually is during the summer, the creamy texture of this blush doesn’t slip off my skin (I tend to use powder blushes in the summer months because of this).

And, it also looks amazing on the lip- the colour is similar to the natural shade of my lip, so it looks very natural and adds a tiny amount of colour so I don’t look washed out with my sad, winter-pale skin. I like to dab it on with my ring finger, but if you want a more defined lip- all you have to do is use the product with a lip brush. I noticed it also feels so soft on the lip and the very opposite of anything sticky or heavy.

Texture-wise it’s very soft and creamy, but the formulation is still highly pigmented and you literally only need a tiny dot on each cheek before blending it out (I use my finger tips to work it into the skin). For someone who loves a natural, dewy flush, I would definitely recommend!
