NARS x Guy Bourdin Crime Of Passion

The NARS x Guy Bourdin Collection is probably one of the most exciting collaborations in makeup (for me anyways!). I always love when NARS does limited edition (NARS x Andy Warhol is also one of my favourites). For the longest time I was debating whether or not to get the Guy Bourdin blush palette, but decided not to since I already had the majority of the blushes in the palette separately. Big mistake. I thought I missed out on the whole NARS x Guy Bourdin collection, which is why I was so excited when I received this as a gift. I couldn’t put it down! NARS limited edition sets never fail to deliver- the casing is always so luxe, and the art that’s featured on their packaging is always visually stunning.

On to the product- this NARS x Guy Bourdin face kit in “Crime of Passion”  is probably one of my favourite palettes as of late. Why? It comes with everything you need- eyeshadow, blush, bronzer and a mini tube of lipgloss in a universally-flattering shade.  And it all comes packaged together in this conveniently sized matte black package (the size of about 2 nars blushes stacked on top of each other).

As with all NARS products, the pigmentation is amazing, especially for the eye shadows. The three shades of eyeshadow (“Jezebel,” “Naiade,” “Pandora”) are so versatile for creating everything from a natural definition for everyday to a more dramatic smokey eye for night. “Pandora”-the rich black shade- is perfect for smudging into the lash line and for adding definition as an eyeliner.

For the blushes ( flip the eyeshadows to reveal the blushes stashed underneath!), NARS features their two popular shades of blush and bronzer, “Deep Throat,” and “Laguna.” Great pigmentation with their blushes- I also find they last me all day compared to other powder blushes.

Overall, love this face palette. I know it’s a bit late to review this Guy Bourdin palette (it launched in October) but it was just too amazing not to rave about. If anyone was lucky enough to get anything from the collection while it was out, let me know in the comments!
